Pamper Me: Coming Soon from Marie Rochelle
Gasping, she spun around and stared up into the bluest eyes she had ever seen in her life. The man behind her was absolutely gorgeous. She couldn’t help but to look away from his eyes to get a better look at his body. His massive shoulders filled out the black coat he was wearing and it stopped right past his knees. He looked very powerful, with his wide chest and muscular build.
Nicey dragged her eyes away from his physique back to his face. The set of his chin suggested a hidden stubborn streak while his lips were firm and sensual. They made her wonder if he was a good kisser. Would he know how to use those lips on her?
She slowly continued her appraisal of him and realized that his blond hair was a stark contrast to his naturally tanned skin. There was no doubt about it even in a crowd of men, his presence was stand out and make the others fall into the background.
“Do I know you?” she asked, taking a step back closer to her car. What in the hell was wrong with her staring at a stranger like that? She didn’t get an immediate sense of danger begin in his presence but a woman never knew nowadays.
“No, you don’t,” he smiled displaying a roll of perfect white teeth, “and that’s why I stopped you.”

A Few More Hours in the Night PULL-EASE!!!!
Hey Everyone,
I think that I am still sleeping....well partially. I am now sitting through a Political Media Class that is putting me back to sleep but there's nothing I can do about it. As I try to wake up my numb brain, I want to tell you about a few things. November 15 look out for new Red Rose Releases! Visit the website to see what's coming!
I spent half my night in a class and part of the rest of the night helping a friend with a paper on fallen media mogul Conrad Black. It seems he started on his ways to breaking the law real early but *shrugs* who knows? Then I watched Canadian Air Farce (The Canadian version of SNL or Mad TV I guess but still really funny) I couldn't help it. I LOVE that show (I LOVE acting). Finally at about 4:30 AM I finally snuggle beneath the covers (it's freezing here already and it's not even December)and TRIED to fall asleep. Eventually, the last time I glanced at the clock, at 6AM, fell asleep. In no time at all, the stupid alarm clock was blaring!!! I hate that stupid thing! I wanted to hurl it through the window and take great satisfaction in watching it smash to a million tiny little pieces *pants for air and grin evily*
Or, those stupid half drunken jerks that goes to university to get wasted and make noise beneath your window late at nights...*sigh* I need to breath....
As for me, I have a few RRP releases coming soon! Red Rose Has been nominated for some REC awards as well as the authors! So please visit the REC and vote for us! Oh I forgot, thank you to every who has voted and who has nominated us. It's great!
Please remember Red Rose's Speciality line...Desert Rose. We are still seeking submissions.
Anyways, I need to go back to re-numb my brain on how commercials are out there brainwashing us...
Until Next Time,
Rainy Days and Moonlit Kisses

How about some more hours in the day...pretty please
Hello,
My name is Jane Beckenham (www.janebeckenham.com) and I'm an author. I write historical and contemporary romances. But you know, I've think i've finally figured it out. There is definitely not enough hours in the day. Take today, for instance. Okay, up at 6.30 off to the gym, home, minimal housework, and then I think. Yay, time to write. I get into gear, only to have the dog interrupt me, then it's 9am and my writing students arrive.
Thinking that once they are gone I can WRITE SOME MORE... but no siree, that wasn't about to happen. Family stuff interrupted. Now I love my family, would drop anything for them...and did. My writing. Then it was back home, and my part time employer called... could you, pretty please help us out. How could I say no? Yep, you got it. I didn't, and so there I am working my cute little but off (read that as spreading bigish butt, though cute sounds kinda nice!) and where is MY WRITING. Gone, baby. Nowhere to be seen. My hero and heroine are waiting for me, crying out for me to get them together, give them eternal happiness, albeit with a few bumps along the way. Right now, they're stuck on the page...and in the snow storm from hell, but heck, they've got each other and love, what more could they ask for?
A few more hours in the day, I hear you say! Yes please, about another 5 would be nice, but then, I guess there's never enough time! So, i'll have to wait until another day.
Happy writing and reading everyone.

The Writing Life
I love creating characters that are memorable, hot love scenes that make you squirm in your chair and a hero you'd love to play with. Hopefully, my stories will touch the lives of those who read my work. Make them laugh or feel better because of the universal truth of romance. When a reader tells me how much they loved one of my stories, I know I'm doing what I'm supposed to.
This is the beauty of writing.
The frustration comes from writing slow, from distractions and family.
To cure my slow writing speed, I started by joining the Alison Kent Challenge-Sweating with Sven. It helped. It also prepared me for NaNo (National Novel Writing Month). This is my first NaNo and even though I'm way behind on word count, I'm still writing faster than I was before.
I have so many stories I want to write and I'm aggravated I can't get them done faster. So I quite complaining and tried to do something about the problem.
I'm one of those writers who works on more than one project at a time. It's always helped when I'm stuck at a certain point. There are drawbacks to working this way, it works for me.
My dh whines about the money I'm not making and why is my butt in the chair in front of the computer. Well duh, a book doesn't write itself and when it's done you have to edit. (I'm forever grateful that man doesn't read my writing.)
I've wanted to write books from the time I was twelve. I joined RWA (Romance Writers of America) in 1994 and didn't see my first short romance published until July 2006. My point is, don't give up. Learn the craft of writing before you submit. Point of view, show don't tell, plotting, transitions. You want to submit your best work to a publisher.
The writing life is one I wouldn't trade for anything.

My First Time
I will always remember my first time – the nerves, the anxiety, worried about approval, performance, and success.
But hey, it’s just a Blog, right?
I wanted to post here so that I could encourage others to write, not to promote my books or myself. I wanted to write for a long time. I always felt that I could write. I felt I was smart, educated and could tell a story. I got screwed up for awhile thinking I had to be Roth or Ford and had to write the Great American Novel, but eventually the need to write overtook my self doubts. So, I wrote.
I am not finished with my journey. I am published by RedRosePublishing.com, but I am not a man in full yet. I am closer to my ideal by having written, by having been accepted for publication, by having gone through the editing process, by having gone through the process of cover art and by having been, finally, published. I hope to be published in print, to quit my day job and spend my days signing books and have my calendar full of speaking engagements, dispensing bits of wisdom as a sage with the respect of aspiring writers and the writing and publishing community. Reality tells me, “ain’t gonna happen.”
And, why not? Because that is not fifteen seconds of fame. That is fifteen years of fame and most likely, it isn’t in the cards for me. It is the Holy Grail. What right do I have to expect that?
In the dream, I miss the point. Write. Put words on the page. Produce prose. These are things that I have to do. Not for publication, but in the words of Dillard, “because I have to.”
Jack London addressed the two routes to publication. One route involved writing short stories for publication and developing publishing credits. A track record, if you will. The other route involved writing 2,000 words per day of a novel 6 days a week. At the end of three months, you would have a novel. At the end of a year, you would have written four novels. At the end of five years, 20 novels. Most likely, 19 of them would have been rejected, but you would have served an apprenticeship that would make you worthy of publication.
The world has changed. London recommended the second route. It isn’t valid anymore. Write, but write for publication. The validation of your efforts provides motivation to keep writing. We all need validation. We all need to keep writing.
Feel free to comment here, or e-mail me, SpikeFremont@aol.com. But write!
Spike
