Pamper Me: Coming Soon from Marie Rochelle
Gasping, she spun around and stared up into the bluest eyes she had ever seen in her life. The man behind her was absolutely gorgeous. She couldn’t help but to look away from his eyes to get a better look at his body. His massive shoulders filled out the black coat he was wearing and it stopped right past his knees. He looked very powerful, with his wide chest and muscular build.
Nicey dragged her eyes away from his physique back to his face. The set of his chin suggested a hidden stubborn streak while his lips were firm and sensual. They made her wonder if he was a good kisser. Would he know how to use those lips on her?
She slowly continued her appraisal of him and realized that his blond hair was a stark contrast to his naturally tanned skin. There was no doubt about it even in a crowd of men, his presence was stand out and make the others fall into the background.
“Do I know you?” she asked, taking a step back closer to her car. What in the hell was wrong with her staring at a stranger like that? She didn’t get an immediate sense of danger begin in his presence but a woman never knew nowadays.
“No, you don’t,” he smiled displaying a roll of perfect white teeth, “and that’s why I stopped you.”

A Few More Hours in the Night PULL-EASE!!!!
Hey Everyone,
I think that I am still sleeping....well partially. I am now sitting through a Political Media Class that is putting me back to sleep but there's nothing I can do about it. As I try to wake up my numb brain, I want to tell you about a few things. November 15 look out for new Red Rose Releases! Visit the website to see what's coming!
I spent half my night in a class and part of the rest of the night helping a friend with a paper on fallen media mogul Conrad Black. It seems he started on his ways to breaking the law real early but *shrugs* who knows? Then I watched Canadian Air Farce (The Canadian version of SNL or Mad TV I guess but still really funny) I couldn't help it. I LOVE that show (I LOVE acting). Finally at about 4:30 AM I finally snuggle beneath the covers (it's freezing here already and it's not even December)and TRIED to fall asleep. Eventually, the last time I glanced at the clock, at 6AM, fell asleep. In no time at all, the stupid alarm clock was blaring!!! I hate that stupid thing! I wanted to hurl it through the window and take great satisfaction in watching it smash to a million tiny little pieces *pants for air and grin evily*
Or, those stupid half drunken jerks that goes to university to get wasted and make noise beneath your window late at nights...*sigh* I need to breath....
As for me, I have a few RRP releases coming soon! Red Rose Has been nominated for some REC awards as well as the authors! So please visit the REC and vote for us! Oh I forgot, thank you to every who has voted and who has nominated us. It's great!
Please remember Red Rose's Speciality line...Desert Rose. We are still seeking submissions.
Anyways, I need to go back to re-numb my brain on how commercials are out there brainwashing us...
Until Next Time,

How about some more hours in the day...pretty please
Hello,
My name is Jane Beckenham (www.janebeckenham.com) and I'm an author. I write historical and contemporary romances. But you know, I've think i've finally figured it out. There is definitely not enough hours in the day. Take today, for instance. Okay, up at 6.30 off to the gym, home, minimal housework, and then I think. Yay, time to write. I get into gear, only to have the dog interrupt me, then it's 9am and my writing students arrive.
Thinking that once they are gone I can WRITE SOME MORE... but no siree, that wasn't about to happen. Family stuff interrupted. Now I love my family, would drop anything for them...and did. My writing. Then it was back home, and my part time employer called... could you, pretty please help us out. How could I say no? Yep, you got it. I didn't, and so there I am working my cute little but off (read that as spreading bigish butt, though cute sounds kinda nice!) and where is MY WRITING. Gone, baby. Nowhere to be seen. My hero and heroine are waiting for me, crying out for me to get them together, give them eternal happiness, albeit with a few bumps along the way. Right now, they're stuck on the page...and in the snow storm from hell, but heck, they've got each other and love, what more could they ask for?
A few more hours in the day, I hear you say! Yes please, about another 5 would be nice, but then, I guess there's never enough time! So, i'll have to wait until another day.
Happy writing and reading everyone.

The Writing Life
I love creating characters that are memorable, hot love scenes that make you squirm in your chair and a hero you'd love to play with. Hopefully, my stories will touch the lives of those who read my work. Make them laugh or feel better because of the universal truth of romance. When a reader tells me how much they loved one of my stories, I know I'm doing what I'm supposed to.
This is the beauty of writing.
The frustration comes from writing slow, from distractions and family.
To cure my slow writing speed, I started by joining the Alison Kent Challenge-Sweating with Sven. It helped. It also prepared me for NaNo (National Novel Writing Month). This is my first NaNo and even though I'm way behind on word count, I'm still writing faster than I was before.
I have so many stories I want to write and I'm aggravated I can't get them done faster. So I quite complaining and tried to do something about the problem.
I'm one of those writers who works on more than one project at a time. It's always helped when I'm stuck at a certain point. There are drawbacks to working this way, it works for me.
My dh whines about the money I'm not making and why is my butt in the chair in front of the computer. Well duh, a book doesn't write itself and when it's done you have to edit. (I'm forever grateful that man doesn't read my writing.)
I've wanted to write books from the time I was twelve. I joined RWA (Romance Writers of America) in 1994 and didn't see my first short romance published until July 2006. My point is, don't give up. Learn the craft of writing before you submit. Point of view, show don't tell, plotting, transitions. You want to submit your best work to a publisher.
The writing life is one I wouldn't trade for anything.

My First Time
I will always remember my first time – the nerves, the anxiety, worried about approval, performance, and success.
But hey, it’s just a Blog, right?
I wanted to post here so that I could encourage others to write, not to promote my books or myself. I wanted to write for a long time. I always felt that I could write. I felt I was smart, educated and could tell a story. I got screwed up for awhile thinking I had to be Roth or Ford and had to write the Great American Novel, but eventually the need to write overtook my self doubts. So, I wrote.
I am not finished with my journey. I am published by RedRosePublishing.com, but I am not a man in full yet. I am closer to my ideal by having written, by having been accepted for publication, by having gone through the editing process, by having gone through the process of cover art and by having been, finally, published. I hope to be published in print, to quit my day job and spend my days signing books and have my calendar full of speaking engagements, dispensing bits of wisdom as a sage with the respect of aspiring writers and the writing and publishing community. Reality tells me, “ain’t gonna happen.”
And, why not? Because that is not fifteen seconds of fame. That is fifteen years of fame and most likely, it isn’t in the cards for me. It is the Holy Grail. What right do I have to expect that?
In the dream, I miss the point. Write. Put words on the page. Produce prose. These are things that I have to do. Not for publication, but in the words of Dillard, “because I have to.”
Jack London addressed the two routes to publication. One route involved writing short stories for publication and developing publishing credits. A track record, if you will. The other route involved writing 2,000 words per day of a novel 6 days a week. At the end of three months, you would have a novel. At the end of a year, you would have written four novels. At the end of five years, 20 novels. Most likely, 19 of them would have been rejected, but you would have served an apprenticeship that would make you worthy of publication.
The world has changed. London recommended the second route. It isn’t valid anymore. Write, but write for publication. The validation of your efforts provides motivation to keep writing. We all need validation. We all need to keep writing.
Feel free to comment here, or e-mail me, SpikeFremont@aol.com. But write!
Spike

Things that make you go Hmmmm or Ewww
First off I just want to say Happy Holloween to everyone.
Ever had one of those days that you think it can't get any worst? Well that's what I thought yesterday will I was wrong things got worst.
I have a dog one that my kids and I love very much. Well he wasn't feeling to hot yesterday or the day before,so you'd think he just had a bad belly or something like that wrong.
See I found out today that if you have a male dog one that's NOT fixed they can get an enlarged prosstate it doesn't happen offten but it does happen and beleave you me when it does it's something that makes you go EWWW, because it's not pretty and it's painful to your pet. I found out that if you have your dog or cat fixed they are less likely to get this.
We sometimes forget that our pet's or any animale they are just like us. They can get cancer they can get sick, they feel pain and joy they love just like we do. So please if you have a dog or cat female or male get them fixed. So they don't have to go throu what my dog is going throu. It's not pretty and it's painful to them and they bleed outta thier pirvite part's
What'ss really sad is that you have no clue until they start bleeding down there then you get scared spitless cause that's what it did to me.Hell I just thought my dog had a belly ache boy was I wrong, If I had waited just one more day hard telling what might have happened to him. Don't wait, take them in even if it looks like they just have a belly ache one never knows it could be so much worst..

Happy End of Monday!
Hey All,
Happy Tuesday, hope your Monday was beautiful. Well I have to say that I am very proud. Due to all my deadlines for January of 2008, I worked on my wolf shifter story a little bit early. And guess what?....I am finished! Wolf Whispers is now officially my first paranormal and hopefully not my last. I am excited.
Secondly, my prayers go out to anyone who has someone or is in the midst of the Cali wildfires. Please hang strong and keep praying. You are all in my prayers and I am praying for some rain for you. Keep strong.
Well I should go to bed and be sure to check out Red Rose for all the contests happening and all the new and old releases.

HAPPY HUNTING!
Aloha,
Dee Shore
What a weekend!
Aloha! I hope you’re doing great. It’s Monday morning and I had a long weekend. Let’s start with Friday.
FRIDAY
Every two weeks I have a Friday off from work, and I took advantage to go get my hair cut. I cut 8-9 inches of my hair. I feel so liberated! My hair is super thick, and I have lots of it! So cutting 8-9 inches off was the best thing possible. Now it’s up to my shoulders and I love it. I will not spend 2 hours blowing out my hair LOL. Too bad it was raining, and my gorgeous hair cut died.
Later on Friday… I went to on of my fav stores, Trader Joes. HUGE mistakes, not only was it raining. It was SUPER crowded. I had to make a line around the store to pay. Insane! I will never go there on a Friday.
SATURDAY
I went to The Hunt. The Hunt is a horse race event which benefits a Children’s Hospital in NJ. The Hunt could be described as a huge Jimmy Buffet tail gate party with out the Island Music. Like every year, I had a great time! Ate, drank, and I ruled flip cup! I have pictures I’ll upload them later! And yes I was in the boy’s team so yes I am good at flip cup (a drinking team).
One thing I wish I could have gone with out; being completely disappointed by a friend. It’s disappointing to see a friend so desperate to hook up, that they will hit on a woman that was so drunk she could barely stand straight. Then you tell your friend to cool it that the girl is in no condition, he tells you that he has a tradition and has to hook up at every Hunt, and he doesn’t care how drunk the girl is. I was sober during the Hunt so no I am not making this information up. And I was not the only person to tell him to cool it.
This is the kind of thing that keeps me single. As great some men can be, they can be equally disgusting. Thank goodness the good men in the world; like Frank and Tom (awesome brother friends!). Men like them give me hope that not all men are pigs.
SUNDAY
I cleaned. I know exciting! But it had to be done. My room was a mess! Then I picked up my nephew for the week.
Over all I didn’t rest all weekend but I had a great time!
This sister friend Jinx is coming to visit and we are going to a Halloween party so we can’t wait! My costume it’s the best! So cute! I am also going to help out in my nephew’s schools Halloween Party. Think over 200 kids all full of sugar running around in costumes LOL! Eric, my nephew, is going to be Jack Sparrow.
Any who, I’ll stop yapping! Thank you so much for visiting my blog!
XOXOXOX
Aloha,
Dee

Why Read Romance?
Most people who know me well, know I read many things, including romance. Many times I'm encouraging people-- male and female-- to read romances. They often ask, "Why should I? It's nothing more than porn for housewives?" In the past, I used to not know how to respond, but over the past 3 years, I've discovered exactly how to explain why romance is so important.
Everyone believes in love and the power of love. Romance helps to relive the experience of falling in love for the first time, or perhaps even the time you knew it was true love. Romance books also help you to understand the other person's perspective. You ever want to know how women hope men feel about falling in love-- read a romance novel. If you want to know how women think when they're falling in love-- read a romance novel. You want to know how to seduce someone in a unique manner? Pick up a romance novel or three and take some of those ideas and make them come true for your partner.
We all complain on how bad things are getting in this world of ours. How there are more wars, less compassion, less love for all humanity. We've seem to have forgotten what tolerance is and that diversity is a good thing so we don't become to complacent. But we forgot something that's universally true-- love covers a multitude of wrongs. Love helps us to move past problems. Love helps us to understand the other person when otherwise we might not take that extra moment to see things in another point of view. Now this isn't just romantic love, but all love. See, that's the thing about romance novels-- you don't get just about romantic love-- but about all various kinds of love.
One of my favourite novels deals with not only the romance between the main characters, but how the heroine copes with her zany family. She loves them and would do anything to protect them, even go up against the hero. But little does she know that he finds himself enjoying the zaniness of her family, and for once, feeling accepted by someone. It's a great book and the reason I love it is not the romance itself-- which is great and erotic!-- but because it talks about the love of family, friends, the love of cultural beliefs, and the act of falling in love for real.
So, when I hear "Romance books are trash! They're nothing more than porn for housewives." I have only one thing to say. "Then you miss out on the reality of romance novels. They're to entertain, to remind us about falling in love, and encourage to love in all things. But since you think they're nothing but pornography, tell me-- what do you read that reminds people how important love is?"

My Very First Review!
Aloha everyone!
So I am jumping for joy, and dancing in the streets. Ok not literally, but I feel like doing that. I just received my very first review, and it’s a good one YAY!
I know you want to read it, so here’s the link: http://redrosesforauthors.blogspot.com/2007/10/male-cage.html. Thank you Linda for making my year!
WOO HOO! You know it’s not that I need to hear that I am a good writer, because I know I am no Sandra Hill. But the thought of actually entertaining someone is a huge honor. So to everyone that has read Male Cage, thank you so much. I mean it, from the bottom of my heart.
XOXOXOX
Aloha,

This is absolutely awesome!
Hello everyone!
Kendra Mei Chailyn here! Oh for those of you who don't know me (yet) as I said before I am Kendra Mei Chailyn and I write sensual interracial romance. I am twenty four, living in the cold white north as well as a university student. I am obssessed with cultures (As you can see from my stories) and I am a sucker for a happy ending *blush*.
Just thought I would contribute and let you know that I am in the house with Red Rose! Its a wonderful thing! Believe me. Well lately, I have been walking a thin line guys. I am trying my hand (again) at paranormal! As you see below, Red Rose is going in on the Wolf anthology and it's a good cause so I am trying my hand at that. I have to do it this time because it is a GREAT cause and I don't want to give up. I have some wonderful authors behind me who are helping me with my first try at Paranormal and for that I am truly thankful. Well now I guess we'll see what I'm going to come up with.
My life lately has been one big circus! As many of you know, I am also in university and now its mid-term exam season. Its one big headache. I haven't had a good night's sleep in weeks but, who's counting? I have one more exam coming up and that one is the one from hell but to keep my sanity, I take breaks and write. That's all I can do...
Thank you all for checking out Red Rose and thank you for your constant support of Red Rose and myself. The fact that you like my work means more than you will ever know. I have a whole slew of work coming to you from Red Rose including Stolen Moments (many of you know the story behind that one and have been asking about it) It's coming soon I promise. Ebony Eyes is coming too so hang in there *grins*
Oh before I go, don'f forget to go to www.redrosepublishing.com and find out how you can win some serious diamond. It's right there on the front page, in red, you can't miss it! (and no for that one person who thought I was joking about the diamond, I am NOT joking.).
Please visit my website and my MySpace and leave me a message, I would really like that.
And after you've read a Hot red rose title, don't forget to nominate that title & author for the REC Awards.
In closing, myself as well as Red Rose will do our best to bring you stories to make you smile, fall in love and wake your lover .
Until we speak again, keep on reading, keep on loving and remember, when everything else fails, love will find away.
Thanks again guys,
Rainy days and moonlit kises,
Kendra Mei Chailyn

Mountain's Echo by Debbie Gould, Coming Soon
Today, I'd like to vent about spousal support. This weekend I got the poor me lecture. You're always on the computer, you never spend time with me. The guy just doesn't get it. He has his passion, hunting, fishing, and others I wont mention. Can he not see writing is my passion. He was thrilled for me when I got the contract for Mountain' Echo through RRP. But with most men he wants instant gratification. When's it being released. What do you mean it's an e-book. Ect. AGHHH! My children are thrilled for me and totally get it. Why cant he? I hear so many stories about the supportive hubbies. I think mine was kicked out of line when they gave that skill out. Of course, I do love the man and haven't given up on him yet but STILL!!
So, anyone out there have the same problem or am I alone in my misery. Also just want to say the support from my fellow authors at RRP is amazing as is Wendi. It's what keeps me going.

Intro: Marianne LaCroix
I wanted to introduce myself to everyone....I am Marianne LaCroix. I write erotic and sensual romance, and I currently have out 18 works of various lengths, from novel to short story. One of those works is STOLEN BY THE SHEIKH from Red Rose Publishing. I honestly didn't think a historical sheikh capture erotica would be something people would like to read. I just knew it was a plotline *I* would like to read. I always wanted to write a sheikh capture story, and this was it. That readers took to it was completely unplanned. It has been in the top 10 at Fictionwise (going up to #2--presently at #7) and in the top ten at AllRomanceEbooks.
My preferred genre is historical erotica. I love pirates in particular, but really, if you think about it, a sheikh who takes what he wants is very much like a pirate. Maybe that was why I enjoyed writing STOLEN so much.
I'd like to thank all the readers of my sheikh adventure as well as Wendi from RRP for planting the idea in my head in the first place. Thank you for allowing me to launch your Desert Rose line.

A great place for writers and readers of romance
I am a writer of romantic suspense and I am so pleased and honored to be a part of the fabulous group of authors at Red Rose Publishing. Thanks to Dee for designing such a beautiful blog and a place where we passionate writers and readers can gather, discuss and communicate.
